We are pleased to report another successful outcome for Samantha Marsh on securing the unanimous acquittal of her client following a three-day trial at Peterborough Crown Court.
The case involved a complex allegation of rape, raising issues of conditional consent and requiring detailed legal research into the developing case law ahead of trial.
Samantha’s careful preparation, together with her analysis of the evidence, including extensive WhatsApp communications, resulted in the jury returning unanimous Not Guilty verdicts after just 1 hour and 20 minutes of deliberation.
Samantha was instructed by Jacqui Appleton of Shelley and Co Solicitors.
