We are pleased to highlight recent work from Samantha Marsh.
Samantha recently completed a 7-day trial at Cambridge Crown Court, defending a client facing four counts of sexual assault. Following trial, the defendant was acquitted of three of the four charges, with a conviction recorded only in respect of the least serious allegation.
She is currently instructed in a substantial Crown Court matter, having stepped in at short notice to represent a defendant in custody facing an 8-count indictment including allegations of GBH (s.18), kidnap, false imprisonment, robbery and threats with a bladed article. The case involves complex issues, including non-defendant bad character and working with a client for whom English is not a first language, and required Samantha to get rapidly up to speed in challenging circumstances.
