- Public Family Law: Melanie is frequently instructed to represent Local Authorities, children and parents and other family members in public law children’s proceedings. Melanie has represented clients in proceedings involving serious injuries, allegations of sexual abuse, neglect, and international issues. Her experience of criminal law means that she brings extra layer of expertise to those cases involving cases that have parallel proceedings in the criminal justice system.
- Private Law Children: Melanie has experience in representing parents, children and Local Authorities in private law children cases involving child arrangements up to and including final hearings. She strives to bring a supportive and compassionate approach to this difficult area of law whilst fighting hard for her clients.
