John practises internationally in criminal law. He has held senior prosecution positions in the Crown Prosecution Service of England and Wales (Crown Advocate), the Cayman Islands (Senior Crown Counsel) and the Turks and Caicos Islands (DPP). He also practises in Australia.

In his 35 years at the Bar, he has appeared in Higher Courts throughout the world, including running many appeals in Courts of Appeal. John is regularly briefed in serious crime including Financial Crime, Proceeds of Crime, Murder, Rape and other sexual offences, Human Rights and Kidnapping to mention a few. He has appeared in inquests and inquiries. John accepts both prosecution and defence briefs.
