We are delighted to share that Isobel Morath has secured a successful outcome for her client following 16 months of proceedings.
Representing the defendant throughout the case, Isobel identified and pursued significant disclosure issues, which ultimately led the Crown to offer no evidence on the charge instead of proceeding to trial. The prosecution was withdrawn, and the client was awarded a contribution towards their legal costs.
Following the conclusion of the matter, instructing solicitor Ilyas Umarji of Caines Law commented:
“Due to the great work and pressure applied in the case, the Crown agreed to withdraw the prosecution against the client. Our client and ourselves felt reassured and comfortable in instructing Ms Morath for the matter. It was a pleasure to work with Ms Morath and we look forward to working with her again.”
Congratulations to Isobel on this well-deserved outcome for this matter, which was one of the first she undertook after beginning her practice!
